Samuel and the fire men

Saturday afternoon Samuel and I went to Legoland - there was an event for fire engines, ambulances and the police force. The excitement was tangible as we went off. On the way there Samuel was pondering questions like: "What will the fire men say?" "Can I drive the engine?" and "Are the buns for the fire men too?"

There were several fire engines, lots of fire men, a big ladder and an airport fire engine (called a crasher). We saw a "car fire", foam being squirtet at it by the crasher and much much more.

I think it's safe to say, that Samuel had a blast! At one point he looks at me, and says: "I'm really lucky!" Yep, and I'm lucky I was there to see it all!
Samuel in the first of many fire engines. The smile says it all!

A real fire!

Wearing a real fire man's jacket he helps put out a small fire.
As soon as we came near a fire man, Samuel was short of words
- being so close to someone so cool was almost too much!
Wearing yet another helmet with the seat belt clipped - he SO enjoyed this!

Striking a pose like Fireman Sam. Please not that the fire engine is blinking it's lights!
